What is the Amazon Product Advertising API?
The Amazon Product Advertising API is a free tool that lets you access data about products sold on Amazon. It’s used to get details like product names and images. However, it’s difficult to use for those without knowledge of software development. That’s why we created this plugin.
Is the Amazon API free?
The Amazon API is completely free for approved Amazon Associates accounts, but please note that the Product Advertising API sign-up is available only to associates who have referred qualified sales and have been accepted into the program.
How do I use the plugin?

Is there a free trial available for this plugin?
Yes, you can process up to 10 posts* for free. After that, you can choose to upgrade to one of our paid plans for unlimited sitestripe image replacement on your site as well as some initial features we have in development (including the ability to add new images to posts using Classic editor and Gutenberg). *Posts, pages, reusable blocks, and custom post types are all counted as a “post” in this case as they’re all processed separately.
Is the plugin compatible with OneLink?
Yes, AM Image Master is compatible with Amazon Onelink. The redirect to international Amazon stores will not be affected.
Do you save the Amazon images to the server?
No, we do not store Amazon images on your server. The images are served from Amazon’s servers, which is a much better approach to complying with their terms of service.
Can I add new images to my posts with this plugin?
Yes, this feature is available on the pro plan where users can add the primary image for a product via the Amazon API to posts using both the Block editor (Gutenberg) and Classic editor in WordPress.
How do I know if the plugin will work on my site?
If you have Amazon SiteStripe images within the main content area of your posts, pages, reusable blocks, or custom post types, this plugin is designed to replace those. You can download the plugin for free to try it out and see for yourself!
Can I test the changes on only a few posts?
You can control the number of images processed in a batch and stop image processing at any time. Then you can look at what’s been changed in the “Image Update History” screen. Follow the tutorial to learn more.
Will the images be any different?
The image sizes from the Amazon API can be a little different than SiteStripe images. You can choose which size images you want to use in the API settings of the plugin.
Are existing tracking IDs affected?
Existing tracking IDs for “Image” SiteStripe codes will remain intact. For “Text + Image” widgets, the tracking ID will be overridden with the one entered in the plugin’s API settings (In technical terms, these Text + Image SiteStripe widgets render as iFrames, and we replace them with images from the API instead, in order for them to work properly when Amazon stop Sitestripe)
What Amazon stores do you support?
The plugin supports SiteStripe image links from Amazon.com, Amazon.ca, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr and Amazon.in
Does the plugin support custom post types?
Yes, the plugin supports custom post types as long as the SiteStripe images are within the main post area of the custom post type. The plugin allows you to choose which custom post types you want to include when scanning your site for SiteStripe images.
Does the plugin support third-party page builders (Elementor, WP Bakery, Thrive Architect, etc)?
The plugin currently does not support the replacement of SiteStripe images within pages created by third-party page builders such as Elementor, WP Bakery, Thrive Architect, etc. If in doubt, you can download the free version of this plugin and try it out to see if it detects the images.
Will the plugin notify me about unavailable products?
Yes, the plugin informs you about unavailable products that it encountered when attempting to replace the images so you can update them accordingly. There is an “Unavailable products” report for you to look through.
